2020 Spring Ride postponed until September 20th, 2020
These are certainly unprecedented times for our country. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a dramatic effect on how we all live, work and play. Your safety and the safety of all of our Club members, volunteers and our off-road riding community is our top priority. The leadership of the SMDR Board has held in-depth discussions regarding hosting 2020 Spring Ride. We have been monitoring closely the recommendations of King George County, the Commonwealth of Virginia and federal authorities.
Given the continued uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, it is with heavy hearts and the best interest of everyone’s health and safety to postpone our 2020 Spring Ride. Please know that this decision was not made lightly. We did our due diligence by constantly monitoring all recommendations and guidelines. We considered alternatives and changes to the way we park vehicles, implementing social distancing practices when registering riders, and so on. In the end, we came to the decision that it’s just not practicably feasible.
